"I will bring hungry ones to you."
This was God's promise to Bettie Hull from day one.
“I’ll bring hungry ones to you.” That’s what the Lord Jesus spoke to Bettie Hull’s heart. I was one of those “hungry ones,” Crossing paths by divine appointment, Bettie and I became friends. I began reading the keys that had been given to her so far. I carried an alphabetized copy of them with me over the years. The Holy Spirit would speak a specific letter of the alphabet to me and I would read all the keys under that letter. In there would be a key that would help me to understand a truth I was not seeing clearly. As I read the key and searched the Scriptures, I would “see” with spiritual eyes and would grow.
The first key I remember was “Unproved”. I came to understand that God did not intend for David to fight the enemy with Saul’s armor but to use the weapon that God had proven in his own life. With that he was comfortable, and with that he was able to go into battle in peace--trusting God for victory. I needed to know that God didn’t expect me to walk with someone else’s knowledge but to walk in the light He had given me. The truth of “Elevation” came slowly over several years. Galatians was so special to me as I studied the Word of God, but not until I saw myself on the cross with Christ did I finally experience the truth of being crucified in Christ and living in His rest one day at a time.
The keys are not to be read daily as a devotional or in a few days as a novel, but the keys are to be used as a tool led by the Holy Spirit to bring spiritual understanding. We have endeavored to compile the book in such a way as to enable the reader to find subjects and scriptures quickly and easily. Are they scriptural? One must ask this question as we are commanded to “try the spirits” (I John 4:1). Study for yourself. Over 20 years I have studied and compared the keys with Scripture and have only been blessed.As a teacher of the Word, I know only too well the subtle schemes of our adversary and have witnessed books on the shelves of book stores that claim to have been from God but do not “add up”! Beware of any such claim if the content does not match the Holy Bible in word and meaning.
I challenge any Christian who is serious about knowing God and learning to live your life led by the Holy Spirit to add Master Keys to your study materials. These keys will help you to unlock truth from God’s Word and allow the searching light of the Holy Spirit to penetrate your life. I pray for His peace for each of you and ask that God grant you a teachable spirit desiring to above all—please Him.
